ATELIER DE KINTSUGI
Through kintsugi, a traditional Japanese technique, we invite you to breathe new life into broken ceramics. Using natural lacquer and metallic powders, cracks and chips are carefully repaired and enhanced, offering a unique experience that allows you to discover the aesthetics of Japan.
In a calm and soothing atmosphere, you can take the time to refocus and immerse yourself in Japanese culture, through intimate contact with objects.
The adhesives and pastes used in this workshop comply with food hygiene standards. Once fully hardened, the restored pieces can be used as everyday tableware.
The lacquer used is entirely natural, and you will have the choice, for the finish, between brass powder or tin powder, depending on the desired effect.
This workshop is accessible to beginners and requires no prior experience.

Although some steps are simplified to allow completion within a single day, participants will also experience traditional kintsugi techniques, including finishing with urushi lacquer and applying metallic powder.
