Mangetsu and Shingetsu: There is a beginner-friendly "Shingetsu" kit that can be completed in a day, and a more advanced "Mangetsu" kit that uses lacquer and gold and silver powder. Both kits are finished with genuine lacquer. You can use them with confidence by watching the instructional video.

SHINGETSU Kintsugi Kit

A simplified urushi kintsugi kit, designed to allow everyone to easily discover kintsugi, even in a busy daily life. Accessible to beginners, it has been designed to integrate naturally into contemporary lifestyles. Complete in a single day, it nevertheless reveals all the beauty of urushi as well as the delicate refinement characteristic of Atelier CIRCOLO. This moment becomes a gentle interlude in the rhythm of daily life—a moment of calm to reconnect with yourself and the pleasure of creating with your hands.

Urushi is best used within one year of opening.

Materials to be prepared by you

- An urushi-buro (see instructions on page 9 of the booklet)

- A cutter

- Ethanol (you can use disinfectant alcohol)

- Oil (vegetable oil, rapeseed oil or olive oil)

- Water

- Paper tissues

- Clear adhesive tape

- A solvent (avoid products with a high water content)

- A4 paper or tracing paper

Estimated repairs possible with this kit

(Example) Approximately 5 pieces, each with a chip, or objects broken in two pieces.

MANGETSU Kintsugi Kit

Metallic powders included in the kit

Gold powder (Keshifun)

Extremely fine powder obtained from gold leaf reduced to particles.

Its fineness allows for a homogeneous and delicate application, ideal for elegantly covering relatively large surfaces.

Silver powder (Keshifun)

Silver powder is obtained from silver leaf reduced to fine particles, slightly coarser than gold powder. Silver is a brilliant white metal of great beauty. Over time, it naturally develops a light patina and may gradually darken, bearing witness to the passage of years.
